Set up by NATIONAL AWARD winning duo Producer-Actor Sanjay Suri and Producer-Director Onir, Creative Director and Photographer Raj Suri and a team of creative professionals, KAHWA Entertainment Anticlock Films is an Independent film production house based in Mumbai, India.
With over 15 years of experience in the Indian Motion Picture Industry, the team has been at the forefront of the current revolution of Independent Cinema in India.
In 2005 they independently produced the path breaking and award winning film “My Brother Nikhil” that dealt with the Stigma of HIV and homosexuality first time in India. The film premiered at “Frameline” (San Francisco). This was followed by winning at Montreal (Image+ Nation film festival) and at the 20th Milan International LGBT Festival for the same film. “I AM”( NationalAward Winner for best Hindi language film and lyrics) is their 3rd feature film as Producers (www.iamthefilms.com). The Film project is one of India’s largest crowd sourced films with 400 Co producers from 40 cities across the world. I AM had its Canadian Premier at the “Vancouver International Film Festival ’2010”. I AM was also officially selected at Guggenhiem BERLIN’ 2010, 59TH VALLADOLID FILM FESTIVAL, SPAIN 2011 and Won the NETPAC Award for Best in ASIAN CINEMA and Special Jury Mention at the 15th International Film Festival of Kerala 2010, Winner best film at the London Asian Film Festival and continues its festival screenings . I AM deals with issues and dilemmas that bruise the modern Indian society. After a successful release in India, I AM was released in France in 2012 by Epicentre Distribution.
Producers 4th feature film project “CHAURANGA” has won the INCREDIBLE INDIA AWARD at the Film Bazaar 2011 organised by NFDC followed winning the Goteborg International Film Festival Script development fund. Also selected at the Paris Project 2012.
Producers also participated in the 10th edition of Rotterdam Producers Lab. 2010 at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, 2010 alongside the 27th edition of CineMart and were recently selected by CNC to attend the Producers network at the Marché du Film Festival de Cannes 2012.
As Independent Producers, the team has the required experience, knowledge and vision along with International exposure of festivals & markets that empowers them with tremendous knowledge of production, creativity, marketing and distribution.
